Born in America and raised in Europe from my seventh year, I left Europe on an adventure to create a life for myself using my skills in foreign languages and my passion for writing when I turned twenty.
I spend too much time playing video games and I don’t regret it! If I’m not doing that, I’m reading, writing, studying languages, or researching mythology.
I’m fluent in English, Dutch, and German, could survive in French, and am learning Japanese at this very moment. I plan to study interpreting and translating in the near future.
Living abroad for most of my life inspired my passion for languages and different sections of history and mythology. You’ll often find me reading, and writing, paranormal or urban fantasy – preferably ones with a darker edge and a complex plot.

Hey Natasha, thanks for giving me some words of encouragement on my new blogging experience! I am finding my way around this place, sort of! lol. But please believe that when I have a question, I will be turning to you! =) Enjoy your time in France, my younger brother is in Spain, perfecting his Spanish. As a matter of fact, sometimes I think he speaks better Spanish then he does English! This is an experience of a lifetime and I hope you have nothing but good times!
July 30, 2011 at 9:23 am
No problem! Everyone needs encouragement, especially at the beginning, and I’m always glad to help. 🙂
Thank you! Thank sounds amazing; I could have gone to Spain instead, but I chose French rather than Spanish as a course, so Spain is obviously out of the question.
Thanks again!

Hello Natasha. I must thank you for your visit to my blog. I hope you found it interesting. I am returning the compliment. So, you are fluent in a few languages. Well done, I am struggling with English….LOL! I have attempted writing stories but found I have limited talents in that area. I am far better at writing poetry and songs, not that I am that good but I suppose it is a matter for the reader to decide. I hope you do well in your studies and land that job as a linguist, wherever that may be. No doubt you have plans in that respect. I wish you well. Love

You’re very welcome; thank you for returning the favor. 🙂
I guess some learn languages easier than others! I’m sure it will work out for you. I think every writer has a phase in which they think what they write isn’t good. Like you said, it’s up for the readers to decide.
Thank you!

Not sure which way I was supposed to take what you have written there Natasha! About the languages, I am not interested in learning another language but I have a limited knowledge of German. I was joking about the English! About the writing, well I am not seriously writing prose but my poetry and songs I am more serious about but there again I am not seeking recognition in that department, I write to please myself and anyone else who might like reading/singing them. Hey, I am approaching 66 years of age and I have no axes to grind but bless you for your kind words. Love

Oh wow! I would love to be a linguist myself! But the problem is…I have a poor memory. 😦
And oh, I share your flair for the French culture and language. I used to study French before but because of my heavy school schedule, I had to drop it. But I plan to continue it once I can.
Good luck to you & your future endeavors! 🙂

You seem absolutely fascinating, Natasha. My name is Grace and it is my pleasure to meet you in virtual space! It’s terrific that you’re doing so much at the age of 18. I’ve been writing recreationally since I was about 14 or so, so I probably am not as experienced as you are, but nonetheless love writing little rhymes here and there. Hopefully one day when you’re not too busy you can check some of my stuff out! I’m also a student, although I’m in my last few years of university. I hope you take care of yourself 🙂

By the way, I just thought I’d add I also have quite a keen interest in linguistics – although I haven’t been actively pursuing it due to the constraints of my degree. I did one linguistics unit and particularly found protolanguages to be riveting. I also speak (conversational) German, Chinese (Mandarin) and English (obviously) so it’s really quite refreshing to meet a kindred spirit! 🙂
